Gordy Marshall

drums, percussion & keyboards

Gordon moved to London at the age of 22 with Peter Howarth, where they worked closely together in a number of bands. After a short stint with CLIFF RICHARD in the late 1980’s where Gordon met Steve Lauri, he auditioned for   THE MOODY BLUES.  A keyboard player by the name of Paul Bliss began on the same day. Paul and Gordon became great friends and worked together for the best part of two decades touring all over the world with that band.

In between the Moody Blues’ tours Gordon met Marcus Cliffe playing with the band TIN TIN OUT. Gordon and Marcus played on many records with that band including MARIAH CAREY, ROD STEWART and EMMA BUNTON (a.k.a. baby spice of THE SPICE GIRLS), appearing on Top Of The Pops with the number 2 chart hit.  ‘What I Am’.

In 2006 when JEFF WAYNE moved his seminal album THE WAR of the WORLDS to the stage, Gordon was asked to play drums for the stadium tour. He has played on all of The War Of The World tours with JUSTIN HAYWARD since then.

In addition to his pop and rock work, Gordon has been involved in many West End musicals, including FAME, GREASE, WE WILL ROCK YOU, MAMMA MIA, RENT, WHISTLE DOWN THE WIND, and THRILLER LIVE! The Michael Jackson musical at the Aldwych Theatre.

Gordon still tours regularly with both The Moody Blues and The War Of The Worlds.
